The feed-through capacitor (filter), is a three-terminal filter. It provides high insertion losses in a wide band from the KHz to GHz region. In general, through-core capacitors provide a higher level of electromagnetic interference rejection than other types of capacitors, which is particularly relevant for circuit devices with impedance sources less than 50Ω.
